An American-style rye ale, about 9% abv, firmly bitter with spicy rye undertones, complimented by a touch of roast, and opaque black. It will ferment on American oak soaked in rye whisky for an added rye touch.
Firkin at Tapwerks. Pours a chalky black with a with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of roast and rye with a strong oaky must underlying. Flavor starts with earthy dark grains and rye and has a bit of roast and oak coming out in the finish.
