Looks like chicken broth with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy with pale malts, mild citrus character and a touch of dirty socks. Taste in pretty "un" as in unobtrusive or unappealing. Some light sweet pale malt, a hint of lemon and grains. Some perfumed malt as well. sbanach (222) - Alabama, USA - NOV 9, 2010
Sample at Round Barn brewery. smells light oak, fruit, floral bite, not too hoppy. Appearance is yellow hue with lace. Slightly fruity, full mouth feel, carbonated medium. Great session brew. Easily drink a 6 pack on a nice, Summer day. deyholla (11486) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a strong citrus peel note with quite a sweet grain backing. Flavor seemed a bit off, especially the citrus note and it did not combine well with the sweet grains. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2010
12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amberish color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of grains with some toastiness. Tastes of corn and grains. Not great but after spending 6+hrs out in 95+ degree weather, this one went down like water! ApisAles (1575) - Greenbelt, Maryland, USA - APR 1, 2010

Bottle. A hazy golden color pour witn a small foamy white cap , quickly fading leaving some jagged lace , medium to high carbonation. Aroma is of dry pale malts with floral and fruit notes , and a hint of spicy hops . Flavor is of biscuty malt , lemonpepper , hops , spice and apple type yeast esters , light body with a crisp clean mouthfeel and dry finish . Very drinkable and would have been much better on a hot summer day . A nice beer . milewide (2219) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Bland style in my opinion, but a good brew within type. Cloudy gold color and minimal head. Light aroma, with no hops. Slight malt flavor with a touch of "tang". ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 29, 2009

Bottle courtesy of shawnm213. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Smells of earth, some sweet malt, dark fruit. Tastes of sweet caramel, some perfumy hints, earthy finish. Not a kolsch by any stretch of the imagination. marcus (10142) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 21, 2009
On tap at the Blues, Brews and BBQs festival in St. Joseph, MI. Poured hazy blonde with a thin off-white head and a toffee aroma. This is a very light tasting kolsch. It is refreshing and creamy, but with no sweetness and just a little hop bitterness.
