Medium carbonation, loose white head which dissipates quickly, golden-straw color and clear body. Subtle malty sweetness with notes of biscuits and honey. Finishes fairly dry, but not bitter. Kölsch is a style of its own. Being one of a few native German Ales, it originated in Cologne. Our Kölsch is not entirely traditional due to our use of American grown hops and malt but nonetheless, we challenge you to find a better version of this style ale.

Looks like chicken broth with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy with pale malts, mild citrus character and a touch of dirty socks. Taste in pretty "un" as in unobtrusive or unappealing. Some light sweet pale malt, a hint of lemon and grains. Some perfumed malt as well.

Sample at Round Barn brewery. smells light oak, fruit, floral bite, not too hoppy. Appearance is yellow hue with lace. Slightly fruity, full mouth feel, carbonated medium. Great session brew. Easily drink a 6 pack on a nice, Summer day.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a strong citrus peel note with quite a sweet grain backing. Flavor seemed a bit off, especially the citrus note and it did not combine well with the sweet grains.

Hazy, light orange with a large white head that is mostly diminishing. Malt-centric nose - some vanilla cookies and malted milk - with subtle lemon/orange citrus notes and fresh-cut straw underneath. Mildly sweet flavor with mild sour notes that grow throughout the flavor profile. Definite metallic flavors in the middle-to-late flavor, with some husky wheat and grains in the finish. I seem to pick up more sour flavors as it warms. Thanks to my sister-in-law for the bottle.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amberish color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of grains with some toastiness. Tastes of corn and grains. Not great but after spending 6+hrs out in 95+ degree weather, this one went down like water!

Bottle. A hazy golden color pour witn a small foamy white cap , quickly fading leaving some jagged lace , medium to high carbonation. Aroma is of dry pale malts with floral and fruit notes , and a hint of spicy hops . Flavor is of biscuty malt , lemonpepper , hops , spice and apple type yeast esters , light body with a crisp clean mouthfeel and dry finish . Very drinkable and would have been much better on a hot summer day . A nice beer .

Bland style in my opinion, but a good brew within type. Cloudy gold color and minimal head. Light aroma, with no hops. Slight malt flavor with a touch of "tang".

Bottle courtesy of shawnm213. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Smells of earth, some sweet malt, dark fruit. Tastes of sweet caramel, some perfumy hints, earthy finish. Not a kolsch by any stretch of the imagination.
