Dark brown color with a slightly off white foamy head. Some carbonation present. Mild aroma of watermelon and grain/ wheat. Flavor of wheat, malts and watermelon. Might be the most different beer I’ve tasted in a long time. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Wow - when this beer arrives it actually has a big sweet wedge of watermelon sticking right on the pint glass. I was secretly hoping this would be the case but did not disclose it to other members of my male gender. This fruit beer has a medium tan lager color and looks quite refreshing in comparison to thick, dark lambics. In the middle of August heat, this is the perfect refreshing beer to cool you down when you are heading from the church to the reception as you are boiling in your suit and tie. It tastes like a true, smooth, bottom-fermented lager with a slightly sweet, watermelon aftertaste. Even those beer fans who aren’t keen on lambics would truly enjoy one of these beers on a hot summer day. PilsnerPeter (3045) - Flushing, New York, USA - AUG 3, 2009
Tap at BCTC 2009: Hazy light golden with a white thin film of head. Aroma is a bit sulfuric- very light light dimethylsulfide under the subtle melon notes. Light body. Very natural watermelon presence. Sweet upfront, but natural with a rich melon fruitiness. Crisp clean flavor, lean with a mild finish. Natural fruit character, not too bad. A good one for the ladies. DCLawyer (2839) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - AUG 16, 2016
Bottle->Foghorn Leghorn shaker. Hazy pale yellow with big frothy white head. A: wet rotting hops, pilsner malt, melon rind. T: watermelon, grass, hay, grains, noble hops. Not terrible. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 23, 2015
Light and refreshing. Fruity, but not overly sweet, hints of bread and yeast along with a touch of malt. Not offensive, not a standout.

Had a minor jolly rancher flavor. Slight scent too. Very light in color and no haze, completely clear. Lager was light but clean. Artificial taste, but still kinda neat. Tap. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - JUN 15, 2009
Ligth clear golden ruby color with a small white head. Aroma is inviting, light corn, sweet fruit and watermelon. Taste is light and sweet, watermelon, and some smooth grain. Nice and drinkable. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2015
Watermelon doesn’t belong in beer. This isn’t terrible, but I just can’t get into it either. Straw colored pour with thin head. Watermelon is faint in the aroma, shows up more in the flavor, but not overpowering. Has nice crispness to it that lagers are known for. ryanscourt (1456) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 6, 2014
Really not like watermelon or a lager. Not enjoyable. Light and absent. Would not order again afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2008
On tap at Capone’s. Clear golden color with a small white head. Smells and tastes like a standard golden lager with just a hint of watermelon showing up to let you know that it is there. Nicely balanced, not too sweet, not too much fruit. Very refreshing.
