COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This summertime lager is both smooth and refreshing as soon as it hits the lips. We take so much pride in it because there is truly nothing else like it on the market. We brew this American Style Lager beer with three types of malt: pilsner, pale and carafoam which enhance the head retention of this beer. We then gingerly scatter some very light floral hops at the beginning to give it some esters and sweetness that compliment the watermelon. The true magic of this beer does not occur in the brewing process but in the conditioning vessel. This is where we add the best farm fresh local watermelon and than push the beer into it, allowing it to sit and saturate for a few weeks. By the time it is complete, we are left with a unbelievably smooth tasting beer with a beautiful aroma and subtle taste of watermelon that imparts its way into this already crisp lager. Truly our customers' favorite, this one will have you reaching for another glass soon after you put the first one down.

12 oz bottle - camping, 7/3/16. Thought the watermellon worked pretty well here. Not overwhelming or anything. Pretty well balanced with the herbal, grassy, and bready flavors. Definitely leans sweet, but not in an unpleasant way as is the case with other similar beers. Smooth and clean. Doesn’t get cloying or anything. Better than it needed to be.

hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2008
On tap. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of watermelon seeds and grains. Tastes of watermelon (lots more than the aromas), grains, and a little fruity.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours cloudy dark straw to orangy with off-white head and some pink edges. Nose is pale malt, freshly cut watermelon. Tastes fruity, with a nice watermelon flavor plus a solid amount of malt and backup hops. It gets a tad cloying toward the end and the watermelon seems to lose intensity as it warms, but this one was a very unique style, and I believe the first watermelon lager I’ve ever had.

On tap at Capone’s. Clear golden color with a small white head. Smells and tastes like a standard golden lager with just a hint of watermelon showing up to let you know that it is there. Nicely balanced, not too sweet, not too much fruit. Very refreshing.

This poured a lightly cloudy pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is mainly watermelon, and light grainy notes too. Flavor is grassy hops, and semi artificial watermelon notes. Not bad.

Dark brown color with a slightly off white foamy head. Some carbonation present. Mild aroma of watermelon and grain/ wheat. Flavor of wheat, malts and watermelon. Might be the most different beer I’ve tasted in a long time.
