I’ve never had a porter that I didn’t like. This Porter is different than any other I’ve tried. Not better or worse, just different. I’d like to have it again.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Aroma is a bit burnt, sweet cocoa with noticeable bitterness. Flavors of heavily roasted coffee, semisweet chocolate and burnt grains. Has a bitter bite toward the end which I like. Decent feel. A bit oily is my only compliant.

Dark brown beer with a foamy light brown head. Has a coffee flavor at the head with hints of chocolate at the finish.

Growler thanks to Mike! Pours a clear chestnut and a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with a bit of supporting dark chocolate. Flavor starts with dark grains and grows to have roasted malts as well as a bit of bitter chocolate in the finish.

draft... really light porter, ugly watery body, the taste is watery coffee... pass

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a medium thin and creamy tan head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt. Medium, somewhat dry body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and touches of hops and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a short coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Kind of thin, and too sour. Not the best porter I’ve had. The yeast didn’t seem right for the style either....a little too fruity. But what do know?

Pours dark brown, smells like roasted coffee. It has a roasted flavor but it is sweeter then the aroma. Smooth toffee finish that was too sweet for me.
