Pours golden clear orange with no head. Grainy, cereal and corn aroma. Soft cornish flavour, quite sweet and some body. Mild bitterness in the finish. Ok brew.
A yellow beer with no head. It has a sweet malty aroma. And a flavor of alcohol with too much sweetness - it ends of with a sharp bitterness. I had made up my mind that I wouldn't drink it again - but for rating reasons I tried it once more - my judgment the same. joergen (30230) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2005

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Ceres Dortmunder". In the old days before the Danish beer-revolution this was one of my favourite brews, and it’s still a beer I appreciate a lot. Nice and golden, decent head. Very aromatic with a somewhat spicy, almost perfumy touch. Soft with a lot of sweet malt. Very discreet hoppiness. 260100 Leighton (23706) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle at home in London, aged just over a year. Pours clear, strong yellow with a frothy, white foam head. Sugary, doughy nose, some cereal and whispers of cardboard. Medium to big sweet flavor, definite alcohol notes, some sugary grains, slight metallic straw bitterness. Full bodied with heavy carbonation. Warming, lightly stinging finish, pleasantly drying, hints of tangy lemon, more cereal, toasted sugar. Once you nip into this guy a bit it’s actually not that bad. It isn’t nearly as cloying as you would expect. This isn’t to say it’s a good beer, however, but rather just drinkable. Aftertaste has some dry bread and light alcohol.
