Clear medium to dark amber colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, fruity. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dark fruity hops, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. 
From cask. Pours dark orange with a small, creamy and off-white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Bitter, herbal and malty. Sweet malty, caramelish and roasted dark malty flavoured. Porter, London (backlog). Amber colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, fruity and floral notes along with mild biscuits along to it. Flavour is fruity, resiny, floral, wooden and also has some mild caramelly notes.
Cask at the Bree Louise. Pours auburn with a light head. Some dark sugar, ripe fruits and toast in the aroma. Has a sweetish flavor with more toast and a little toffee. Light in body with fine carbonation. Odd finish, slightly tart, maybe? Bit of herbal bitterness, leafy, with some mild toffee. Cask gravity at Reading BF 2011. Clear pale chestnut colour with bubbly beige head. Spicy malty aroma suggests some Rye in this. Quite well hopped on aroma. Its ok.
