COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2008 for batch # 3,000. This is our version of a Double India Pale Ale. This year we used almost 900 lbs of English pale malt, and over 40 lbs of hops in a 10 barrel batch. A nice golden color with aromas of pine, citrus and some earthy spicy notes. This is what hop lovers dream about. Get hopped up on the sauce.!

This golden beer had a sweet aroma of redwood forest. It has a strong hoppy flavor which finishes with a strong hop aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Created a thin delicate layer of head that covered a dark golden liquid with proper carbonation bubbles. Aroma smells heavy with herbal and the scents of citric hops.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 Pine citrus bitterness. Love it this is what hop lovers dream about. Good color and aroma.

Pours a golden amber color with a fluffy white head. Hop, caramel, citrus, pine and malt aroma. Hop, citrus, pine, bisciut, caramel, honey and malt flavors. Medium body and carbonation with prominent bitterness. Hop and citrus finish.

Bottle-purchased at Whole Foods Chandler, AZ February 2014-sampled march 2014 Pours bright orange lightly hazy with a small soapy white head with some rockiness. nose is very catty-lots of tropical, cat piss, gym sock, (must be simcoe, amarillo or something)-not the best aroma for sure. Flavors exhibit the catty notes quite a bit-lots of tropical papaya notes, pink grapefruit, some lite resin. body is lush with mild carbonation (but not too lite). Long finish of lingering pink grapefruits, papaya and lite pineapple. not a bad beer but could use some better hop varieties to make it less catt-y.

Sampled in a bomber. A really hoptastic brew. Clean white head over an orange base. Super quality ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dirty gold with minimal head. Slightly soapy with good lacing. Aroma is citrus and malts. Taste is solid citrus and somewhat boozy. Meh.

gyllenbock (9160) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 21, 2014
Bottle from City Beer, February 2014. Hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of hops, grapefruit, malt and some "earth". Bitter and a bit unbalanced. Not the best DIPA that I have tried.

Daytonbeer (730) - Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Pours orange with white head and very little lacing. Strong and pleasant aroma...well balanced between pine and citrus. Taste is the same with some spicy notes and enough malty backbone to make it more than drinkable.
