Tap @ Hamitons. Pours a hazy deep brown color with a small beige head, no lacing. Nose of raisins, plums and dates with a slight cheesy quality. Flavor is slightly sweet with some molasses and dark fruits. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 28, 2009
Pours a murky rusty brown.
Nose is like cheese. smells like funky cheese. like blue cheese that was aged in a fat man’s ass crack.
Taste is cheesy too, slight tastes of peated malt, some molases, but that cheese wont go away. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 12, 2009

Tap at the brewpub (also cask later). Poured a very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Rich malty aroma. Near full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor is darkly malty, but not very sweet. Not at all sticky. Maybe a hint of smoke. Finishes clean. It drinks very well. Too well. Notes based on tap, but the cask was even better.
