The beer is almost amber in color with a white head. Mild grass aroma followed by citrus peel and floral hops. A strong toffee and toasted bread smell to it as well. Just decent on the nose, sort of bland. The flavor is somewhat sweet, but still a bit bland. Light hop flavors of citrus peel, grass and pine. A light bitterness on the finish. bhensonb (15190) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 20, 2007
Aroma of amber malts supported by hop which seems neither citrus nor pine. Copper color with traces of a white head. Starts with what seems to be medium malt (not sweet, but the flavor seems there). Hop is difficult to pin down as to "flavor", but it’s strongly there.* This is what one might imagine a strongly hopped dry medium brown ale to be, if such can be imagined. Hops are strongly present in the finish, but this is no NW double IPA.
*Bar staff indicated hops are Mount Hood, strong version of a German hop. Borup (14462) - Albertslund, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2016
