Nice dry hop aroma. Session able at 5.4% abv very balanced and clean beer. True to the style of an American Pale Ale. Nice touch with the mount hood hops. thetmaxx (927) - West Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 25, 2012
On cask at Rubicon. I’ve had this before, just never rated... Nice head with lots of lacing. Aroma is really orangey like its got lots of citrus hops. Very low Carbonation, not really all that bitter, but it is a pale ale. This is a really good beer I order when I know its on tap somewhere... J_man (1022) - Tustin, California, USA - DEC 31, 2011
On tap at Ten 22 in downtown Sacramento. Piney, fresh hop aromas coming off a clear copper body. Immediate resiny pine flavors balanced by a smooth malt base. Finishes dry with a lingering earthy bitterness. Delicious IPA.

Off the tap at the brew pub. Thin head with medium straw colored body.
The aroma is great: grapefruit and lemon.
The taste is smooth with a good dose of malt and moderate bitterness.
The texture is crisper with moderate carbonation and medium body.
It’s a nice, easy drinking ale and flavorful. bhensonb (15758) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 20, 2007
Aroma of amber malts supported by hop which seems neither citrus nor pine. Copper color with traces of a white head. Starts with what seems to be medium malt (not sweet, but the flavor seems there). Hop is difficult to pin down as to "flavor", but it’s strongly there.* This is what one might imagine a strongly hopped dry medium brown ale to be, if such can be imagined. Hops are strongly present in the finish, but this is no NW double IPA.
*Bar staff indicated hops are Mount Hood, strong version of a German hop.
