Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured amber with an off white head. Fruit and citrus in nose. Medium body. Flavor is caramel malts, and a lot of fruit, the citrus, and some floral aspects. Rich overall. Finishes bitter. Nice drinking and good for the style. Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2017
12 oz. bottle from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Clouded cinnamon color with just a little foam that is a few shades lighter. A sweet and fruity aroma is pleasing. Tangerine and dark fruit. This has that Cascade flavor that is such a throwback. Citrus and tropical fruit with moderate bitterness. Malts are nice but this seems more of a pale ale than an amber. Which is a good thing. It is almost a Cascade single hop beer. I am enjoying it quite a lot.
I put that up and then the final two sips tasted like an amber. So it got downgraded a bit. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 14, 2016
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours murky brown with a nice beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied raspy red malt flavor with a dry finish. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 31, 2015
Bottle from Dart at Stateline. Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma of spice, floral, citrus? over mildly roasty malt. Med minus body. Flavor is spicy/floral, malt not overly intrusive, pretty good beer for an amber.Finishes mildly malty and enough bitter to make up for that. obguthr (6350) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2014
Mild honey and pineapple aroma. Cloudy copper, medium yellow head. Mild dried leaves flavor. Subtle dark honey. Thin body. Worth at least the state tick.

"(used to) rival my favorite ambers. More consistently good than Red Horse, and just as good in the bottle as draught. Great amber for hopheads, but still has a nice malty backbone. 2010-too many off batches makes me think the quality of this brewer has slipped quite a bit. too many duds...tasting of bland malt and less hops. probably won’t buy again, which is a shame. anywhere from a 3 to a 4." stevoj (5038) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Medium brown, clear body, thick airy head, minimal lacing. Light aroma of roasted malts, taste is more pure malt, mildly bitter and lingering finish. Grows on you with each sip. Fatehunter (2567) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Poured a thin head that was quickly non-existent on top of a deep amber colored body.
The aroma is faint with lemon and pine.
The taste is moderately lemon bitter with a touch of malt sweetness.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
An average ale, but at ABV 5% it’s something you could have a few of. fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - DEC 19, 2012
On tap @ JR’s, Elko, NV. Pours medium amber, slightly hazy. Pretty average amber, a little on the watery side. Decent hoppy aftertaste. rayOfBeer (674) - El Cerrito, California, USA - AUG 7, 2012
Tap: amber pour with big frothy light-tan head. Aroma of peachy, citrusy hops. Flavor is malty with a dab of roast grain bitterness and a light citrus peach hop note. Flavor is good, not quite as strong as aroma leads on, thins out on finish, but easy drinking.
