Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a near-black brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is estery mandarin, unripe banana, chocolate and hints of coffee in the back. Taste is chocolate, lactic sweet tones, mild leather and hints of nuts and licorice. Watery body, soft carbonation. Not really bad, just not very good either. (12 oz.bottle compliments of Kenny Boy) Nose of chocolate and notes of roasted malts. Pours a solid dark brown with a half inch, quickly disappearing, tan head producing abundent lacing. The taste is initially bready/grainy followed with a fruit sweetness in the finish. The promise of the nose is sadly unfulfilled. Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Overall, the lack of chocolate and roasted malts is disappointing. This anything but a "robust" porter. fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2013
On draft @ Mattie’s, Elko, NV. Pours a thick solid dark brown. Not much in the way of aroma. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate. Easy drinking although unspectacular. Gription79 (2893) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - OCT 13, 2012

12 ounce bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a dark color almost black with a small white head. The aroma is sweet coffee and some roast. The flavor is nice; vanilla, milky coffee, lingering coffee in the finish, some nutty flavors. Simple, clean and nice. Sledutah (7789) - Utah, USA - JUL 10, 2011

Great beer from my latest stop at Booze Bros. in Reno NV. Always nice to find something that brewed in that state, as I wind up going there 4-5 times a year. The last two beers I had from Ruby Mountain were just a bit above average so this was a huge leap in terms of enjoyment.

The beer pours out a dark brown, nearly black liquid with some red poking thru at the edges. A nice big frothy head greeted me at the pour and the lacing was in fine form. The aroma had some dark chocolate/cocoa thing going on, a bit of walnut oil, and a smidge of vanilla. The flavor carried the chocolate in the aroma over to the taste buds, as it was quite chocolate forward. Some coffee, a bit nutty, with a bit of earthiness showing up towards the backend of things (perhaps the hops?). The best beer brewed from Nevada by far. Very nice.
Bottle from Ely, NV. Deep amber in color. Lightly sweet aroma with a hint of chocolate. Lightly sweet chocolate flavor with a little bit of roasted malt.
