Brewed for Union Jacks. Formerly Legacy Hoptimus Prime. Aggressively formulated with five different hop varieties, Hoptimus Prime is then dry hopped for two weeks, ensuring a MASSIVE hop flavor and aroma. Perfectly balanced with three types of malt, Hoptimus Prime is truly the pinnacle of hop flavor. This Double IPA pairs fantastically with spicy Thai food, Mexican cuisine, or a big ol’ bowl of chili.

Bottle. Off hop aroma over thin white head. Light carbonation with murky brown appearance. One dimensional below average dipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

med amber, caramel and grapefruit. Alcohol well hidden. Just normal, but not bad IPA

Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a clear amber with small off white head. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouth with a strong hop bite, resin, citrus, hides alcohol well, very good.

Pint bottle from local liquor store orlando. Pours cloudy deep marmalade orange. Low off white head. Spruce, peach, honey, pine, alcohol nose. Flavour is big caramel malt, honey, grass with sharp dry bitter finish with grassy hop aftertaste. Low carbonation but enough to keep it from total treacle. Total palate Buster. Big body, loads of flavour. Beautiful.

Maybe I had an old/stale bottle but it wasn't what I was hoping for, it had the IPA taste but not as over the top as was described, had a nice golden color and no heavy aftertaste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Solid DIPA. Deep orange/peach pour with a foamy white head that left a ton of lacing. Big malt and hop flavours as expected. Dinging a point for overall because the 9% ABV is pretty noticeable where a lot of other comparable DIPAs don’t have that issue. Still very good!

flemdawg (563) - Rowlett, Texas, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Slightly hazy orange red body with a thin head of small to tiny bubbles. Interesting aroma, the first thought I had was cinnamon, followed by honey and grapefruit juice. Big bitter hop flavor but with a subtle hint of the cinnamon again. Dry finish with some lingering bitterness.

jksipa (1036) - Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2014
Hazy orange with huge off-white foamy head. Nose is pine and grapefruit with some caramel hiding in the background. Modestly sweet start with a good buildup of bitter citrus and some pear for balance. Medium oily mouth with a dry finish. Well balanced.

BeerdedDave (2010) - Beckley, USA - MAY 2, 2014
cloudy amber color with a huge head (a bit foamy); fruity hop aroma; very hoppy, but a bit on the fruity side; piney hop flavor on a medium-bodied malt base; (based on the other reviews I am thinking that the bottle I bought may have been slightly skunked, which may account for the fruity flavors and huge, foamy head)

First of all, exactly what I want this beer to look like. Hazy peach/amber, solid rocky off white head that would last until Christmas. Great. Aroma is a great mix of pine and grapefruit. Pine dominates at first, mellows out (yeah right!) into citrus. Taste is fruity, almost sweet at first but then it starts to take the bitterness very seriously. Feel is dry, a bit abrasive but in a great way. Super beer.
