Draft at Which Brew. Cloudy orange body with nice head. Aroma is of citrus, piney. Flavor is very smooth with a nice citrus bite, subtle sweet malt. The flavor was not huge but enough to give it a nice little kick. Probably the best Legacy beer I ever had. Arayaga2 (2198) - portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Double IPA my foot. This product as I experienced it has more in common with an APA- weak and underwhelming in every regard. Alcohol is practically undetectable. $7/ 12 oz draft. walter (359) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - AUG 12, 2007
Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Orange with offwhite head. Big hoppy nose of pine and grapefruit. Flavor is thick, chewy hops, again pine and grapefruit, but nicely balanced, with a chalky malt sweetness throughout. Definitely a heavy hitter, a really nice big beer. whaleman (2178) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 5, 2007
Snifter at Union Jack’s in Glenside. Deep, shiny metallic gold body with a clean, uniform white head. Aroma and flavor of grapefruit, light cattiness, and a crisp toasted malt edge. Lightly sweet with medium-high bitterness and a tea-like palate. A fair IPA, but not something I would go clamoring back for.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2008 At Union Jack’s in Glenside, PA. Deep, clear gold with a beige head. Grapefruit rind and caramel, some resin. Very dry and bitter grapefruit flavors over a mild caramel. Nice!
Re-rate, 28APR08 - bomber. Clear gold, big beige head. Excellent lace - looks like actual lace. Or something. Flavor is as noted above, very drinkable, hard to believe this is 9%. Good drinker.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a very large yellow-white head. The aroma was strong piney and grapefruity hops. The flavor was piney and grapefruity hops with a light malty undertone. The hops coat the tongue and really linger. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUL 27, 2007
Tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Medium amber orange, nice head that threw a good lace. Aroma was pine and citrus. Flavor was the hop bomb I expected, caramel malts that bordered on gummy with a huge shock of citrus and pine. Perhaps not an inspired IIPA, but a well executed one that I enjoyed. Sampled Hoptimus Prime @ Union Jack’s (Glenside) served appropriately in a goblet. Big, big 2XIPA with citrus, pine, even pineapple flavors complimenting a full bodied malt. This is an excellent offering from Legacy. Maybe it was a "fresh" keg or I haven’t had a 2XIPA in a while....Hoptimus Prime was a bullseye with me. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 16, 2007
On tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Hazy dark amber body with a medium creamy white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma with a caramel background. Heavy caramel and string citrus hops flavor. haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - JUN 23, 2007
Draft at RFD. Clear, amber color with a nice thick head. Hops all over the place. Thick taste. Chewy as well. Some bitter hops, and you can kind of pick up the alcohol as well. Very good beer.
