An English Ale with a distinctive flavour of dark toffee and caramel combined with a crisp bitterness derived from using rare Bramling Cross hops. Tropical and berry fruits from the mix of hops, in particular the rare Bramling Cross which adds black and redcurrants. Challenger in the boiling copper gives robust bitterness and this is balanced by the sweetness from the pale and crystal malts.

Bottle. Copper color, good foam. Floral and nutty tones, good hop bitterness, good bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2016 Klarowne, bursztynowe, piana wygląda ładnie do kilku minut po nalaniu, później zostaje bardzo cienka warstwa. W zapachu raczej słodowe; średnia goryczka. Przyjemne, za 3,99 w lidlu - jak najbardziej.

Dark amber, clear. 1 finger off-white head with poor retention and poor lacing. Aroma: sweetish; caramel, apples. Taste: dry, with hints of apple, lemon and herbs. Bitterness medium to high, lingering, herbal and grapefruity. Thin and somewhat watery, medium carbonation. Not very smooth. This brew is definitely refreshing, but that’s as far as the positive side goes. It’s neither complex nor surprising. Very average.

Can - bright amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of caramel, a little peppery and earthy hops. Taste of caramel, burnt toffee, hay, a little light earthy bitterness to finish. Medium body, low carbonation.

Butelka.Kolor bursztynowy, piana szybko opada. Smak i aromat lekko ziołowy, nic nadzwyczajnego.

Aromat słodowy, karmelowy przebija się alkohol i delikatnie chmiel. Bursztynowe, klarowne, piana szybko opadająca. W smaku karmel, chmiel, ziołowość. Goryczka średnia, przyjemna. Ogólnie niezłe piwo.

When I opened this ale I had never imagined such a marked hops. It has definitely good tones hidden behind the pronounced malt and hops. For instance, a bit of fruit. The finish is sufficiently bitter and prolonged, but the body of this ale is unfortunately blurred behind a fierce charge malt and hops.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2016 Bottle 06.2016. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, walnuts, bread crust and little grass. Colour of strong tea, clear. Tan coloured head, three fingered, reduces to big ring. Malty in taste, also caramel, walnuts, bread with diacetyl note. Medium, short bitterness, herbal-dry with grassy note. Strong malty and bready aftertaste. Medium carbonated, little to high. Body is rather medium, texture creamy and little oily. Alcohol slightly perceptible in aftertaste. Nice and very drinkable english style beer.
