Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Light amber-brown, hazy, no bubbles, no head, slight residual lacing; Rich chocolate-malt aroma, stewed/cooked apples, nutmeg, slight dark hops; Medium body, noticeable peppery tingle, medium-full acidity; Immediate fruitiness - instant vision of dooking-for-apples - damp leafiness - like walking through a pine forest on a wet Autumn day - then toffee, then oily and lightly bitter espresso note adds itself to the finish. So many stirred memories by one beer - incredible! Proper dark session beer. Parmenion777 (327) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2015
