rauchbier (3882) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2010
Bottle, from Asda Grimsby. Deep ruby red, thin but lasting off white head and gentle condition. Complex nose that starts with a fruity tanginess before shifting to a sweet chocolate powder note and a faint suggestion of burnt toffee, in the mouth though its all quite muted, with some background fruitiness and a gentle chocolate powder bitterness, finish is brief, muted and vaguely suggestive of bitter chocolate.
