Clear dark red brown colour with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, cacoa, light vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Beer Festival 2012. Rubyish red7black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, mild toasted and caramelly notes. Flavour is dark fruits, wood toffee, mild old black coffee as well as some roasted notes.

Bottle. Very dark brown with little head. Aromas are earthy coffee with blackberry and medicinal, herbal notes. Smoky with some dark chocolate. Flavours are roast malts with cola and dark chocolate bitterness. Nutty with some citrus bitterness and a dry finish. Subtle chocolate, overall but a decent dry stout.
