Pours golden with a a pink-purple tone and strong lacing sudsy white head. Dry earthy-woody aroma with some winey and mushroom notes. An interesting and complex flavor; light bodied, red winey, vanilla, mushroom, oak. Notes: Bottle from Bevmo Tahoe, June ’17

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours reddish copper with a pretty white head and a grape aroma. There is an effervescent mixed malt flavor with a very earthy grape finish. Fruity yet bitter. This is a unique brew that is fun to drink.

Something between, beer, cider and wine. Aromas of grapes, malt and lemon. No head, cloudy copper. Very smooth with slight spritzy bite at the end. Wood, tart cherries, wine in the taste. Interesting.

Very cool! A unique twist on beer beverages, as made with grape must. I like the ’marriage’ and how they approached it. Not for everyone though.

2014 is based on Cabernet Sauvignon. Waxed and corked 375 from Corti Brothers. Pours a rose copper with no real head. Aroma is very red grape. Suggestions of wood and sour - but ... Flavor is red grape and wood. Somewhat astringent. Drinks like a decent red wine, except for indications of hop and malt. Really delicate given the ABV. The 2013 was more of a rose wine; 2014 seems to be more of a red wine. Maybe the grapes were more intensely flavored this year.
