Pours hazy, light-straw color with a huge, lasting wispy head. This American Blond Ale is more honey, lemon, and fruity than a bready, biscuity malt version. Don’t know if the mash bill has any wheat, but this is a nice, light, seed-fruit summer session beer. Westkyoto77 (640) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 11, 2013
Draught. Aromas of fresh hops, malt, citrus and a hint of sea breeze.
Looks fantastic with its brilliant gold blonde body. The color of Californian stubble in summer. Silky body, fine bubbles. Crispness, bitterness and depth all present and accounted for. Not much complexity, however.
Good looking, but not much past the snazzy veneer.

Poured into a tall pilner glass. Has two fingers of head on a clear, golden colored body with lots of bubbles. Looks great.
The aroma is bold for a blond: lemon with a touch of metallic.
The taste is less bold. Light honey at first, lemon and grapefruit bitter come through middle to end. It’s on the "bitter" side of blonds.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Worth and enjoyable. Dodgrblu (756) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 5, 2013
On tap at Capitol Beer and Taproom, very hoppy for a blonde, good aroma. Watery finish. Good blonde. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Draft. Listed as Ruhstaller Sunny Jim Full Bitter @ 5.8% but guessing this goes here (as opposed to the half bitter version). Golden beer with a whitish head. Malt and light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light malt flavor with light lemon. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light lemon lingers with light malt.

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours clear blonde with a rich white head and a light floral aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a dry finish. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 30, 2013
651mL green burlap from Total Wine in Rancho. Pricey bottle if I recall. Pours with powerful sparking carbonation on clear, brilliant yellow. Thick white foam leaves monster lacing. Nose is skunky at first moving on to fresh cut grass, fresh juicy melons, fresh dough, pizza crust. Taste is dry and bitter, crackery, longer hoppy finish with hints of creamed corn and flashes of butter density. Really well executed for style. Simple, quenching. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JUL 29, 2013
On draft at Beer Revolution. This was called a Bitter here, but it does resemble more of a blonde… it pours a light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is thick with unripe strawberries. Super unique and fruity (must be the Cluster hops) but I’m not sure I’m a big fan. There is some florals and grapefruit in there as well. The flavor is the same with a little bready malt. Mostly big strawberry and florals. Weird beer. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - JUL 18, 2013
22oz bottle. Rating #3. Clear light yellow pour with a white head. Light maltiness with a touch of hops, clean and a little bready. Nice crisp bitterness, mild aftertaste and pretty damn good. (2839) thetmaxx (927) - West Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 2, 2013
Perfect on this 100 plus afternoon. Fun story about "Matilda" Aroma is very grainy and earthy as you might expect a blonde to be. Flavour is similar, pretty grainy and earthy but there is a bit of fruitiness on the end, maybe from a citrus hop. Very refreshing!!! One of my favourite blondes, thick head and good lacing. Quite clear with a light straw colour.
