Pours black with no head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, fruit, and grain. Decent beer.
At the brewpub. The aroma is roasty, bitter chocolate. The flavor is roasty, coffee, bitter chocolate, more bitter than sweet. The appearance is deep black, tan head. The finish is roasty bitter, light piney hops. Medium in body, slightly thick. Decent for the style. katrinaez (1931) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2016

Sampled from a taster at the brewery, poured black, with a light head. The beer had a very interesting roastiness with some smokiness. Very well crafted stout, this was the best beer that I had from Rumspringa during my visit. I would definitely drink this beer again.
