Bottled;
Rich, full bodied Porter with a subtle, sweet smoky aroma thanks to the famous smoked malt from Bamberg, Germany. The malt driven character is balanced by a spicy dark fruit aroma from the Bullion and Willamette hops.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours black with beige head. Smoked sweaty gym shirt aroma, taste has a tempered smoke quality, some malty woodiness, smooth and drinkable with charred ash on the finish. For a new brewery this isn’t bad at all.

Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolate, smoke, some wood, slight dark fruits and subtle spice. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, some smoke, slight wood, a little black pepper and subtle dark fruits. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, lightly smoked, roasted bitterness in the finish. A solid porter, roared malts, chocolate and subtle dark fruits. Balanced amount of smoke and wood too. Enjoyed it.

sarauckelman (540) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2017
Very dark with huge thick structural had that takes a long time to dissipate. Masks most of the aroma but some smoke comes through. Smoke flavor more prominent than aroma, but it’s mixed with something rather hoppy. The candied fruits only come through at the end, but the aftertaste is bitter.

Pours dark brown, huge tan head. Mildly smoky aroma, more toward liquid smoke than wood smoke. Medium body. Ashy finish. Very slightly sweet, with hints of chocolate.

2017 catch up - Bottle at home - A good porter, with a light, but clear flavour of smoked malt. Nice mouth feel and overall good. Too rich to have more than one though!
