Bottle. Heavy malty, cookie, caramel. Large creamy light brown head, red-brown clear body. Moderate sweet, average duration. Light to medium body, dry & oily/creamy, soft carbonation. Later on it gets maybe a little bit too sweet. A good Dunkel.

3.2
Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - SEP 1, 2007
Draught at the Felsenkeller Brauerei Gastätte, Lauenau. Amber color. Malty, toasty and toffeish aroma. Malty, caramelly and toasty flavor with bitter finish.

Ungstrup (37556) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 23, 2007
Draft. A nut brown beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of alcohol and metal. The flavor is sweet malty again with primary notes of caramel, and lighter notes of alcohol and metal, leading to a dry bitter end with a light metal note lingering around.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2006
(On tap) Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head leaving laces. Nice aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with distinct notes of roasted malt and a - for a Dunkel - surprising bitterness in the finish. 051106

LarsHolmer (113) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2003
A bit disappointing, a small brewery in the heart of Germany, with excellent German kitchen, I must say that I have been served better beers in an ordinary German bar. This was just average.

3.9
Mads Langtved (2243) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2003
A really nice dunkel. Quite malty and roasted. Hoppy and fruity. Very full-bodied.
