Draught. Clear golden colour with a decent white head and a good lacing. Aroma and taste of malts, grain and fruits. Nice palate. Lasting taste.

Hopfiger recht süßer Antrunk. Dabei schmeckt der Hopfen künstlich nach Kaugummi, das Bier erst spät durch herb würzige Aromen harmonisch. Dann aber durchaus gelungen und süffig, passend hopfig herb. 11/6/9/9//9

Draught @ Rupp-Brau, Feggendorfer Strasse 10, Lauenau, Lower Saxony Germany 31867.

Clear medium to light dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, grain, hay, dusty, sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, alcohol, malty bock flavor. Body is medium to light full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100715]

Draught at the brewpub. The color is beautiful, warm golden and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of flower, fruit and malt. The flavour has sweetness and notes of malt, fruit and the finish is slightly dry. It is very harmonic, straightforward and pleasant.

MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off fruity and flowery, perhaps some elderflower. Also quite caramelly, almost candylike. The alcohol comes in next, it is quite distinct without becoming too much. There is also a distinct bitterness that balances off the sweeter flavours well. A very good, flavourful and well-balanced Doppelbock.

Ungstrup (38423) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2007
Draft. A dark orange beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is a bit light, what is there is sweet with notes of alcohol and malt. The flavor is sweet alcoholic and malt, as well as faint hints of butter, leading to a dry and rather bitter finish which has a slight alcohol metal tinge.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2006
(On tap) Clear, fully golden with a white head leaving laces. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Very full-bodied with loads of malt, a high degree of sweetness and a distinct alcohol but never in an unpleasant way. Some bittering hops nicely balance the sweetness to make for a very harmonious Heller Bock. 051106

I hate to say it but their strongest was the best. This was the first summerversion in May, the winterversion was finished. The difference is the colour dark in the winter, but lighter in the summer.

Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2003
I had this beer together with a pig shank (Schweinehaxe). The same beer was also present in the briliant sauce and in the sauerkraut. The beer is pricking on the tonque on the sweet side. A little alcoholic but generally good.
