Draught at Seehas restaurant in Konstanz. Beautiful amber (surprisingly pale) beer with a great nicely lasting head. Perfectly balanced. Very interesting. A lot going on in this one. Extremely pleasant. Thanks Quack-Duck! Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - MAR 26, 2011
Slightly smoky, forested nutmeat, caramel, sharp sourdough bread, sweet maple. Wow, subtle flavors, well intertwined. Head dies pretty quickly and this does have a tinge of sourness. I like that, some won’t. Not too sweet; has the other ranges of flavors to compensate! Aroma is very good, slight spice, lots of brown sugar and forest elements. Lovely reddish color. Ruppaner is a good brewery! Thanks Stefan! jaghana (6107) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - OCT 13, 2010
Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks. An amber brown beer with good head. Smell is very malty and toasted like. Aroma is malty, caramel like, with toasted notes and quite sweet. Very long aftertaste, a nice dunkel beer very malty and cereal like. Voivod (304) - Como, ITALY - MAR 7, 2003
Dark amber colour, few head, soon disappearing. Malty aroma with a caramel note. The flavour is dominated by roasted maltiness, with a nice hoppy finish with traces of bitter almonds. Good and pleasant. ha1ag (917) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2010
NIce warm amber color, with average head. Malty nose. Malty aroma with burnt caramel. The flavor is mainly roasted malts, with long lasting hoppy finish. Very nice one.

Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild toasted malts, some slight fruity notes, mild ashes and some slight caramelly notes. Flavour is quite similar, but is a bit thin and mild. A quite bodied dunkel. Quack-Duck (9485) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2007
bottle. Dark brown colour, large head. Malty flavours, hints of roasted malt and caramel. Quite hoppy as well. bierkoning (13387) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 18, 2010
Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Amber color. Maltaroma with toffee. Malty sweetish flavor with tropical fruits. Pleasant, very drinkable beer. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small off-white head. Sweet roast in the nose. Medium body, sweet roasted malts and dark chocolate with a little dry roastiness in the finish. Very drinkable. 280111 Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - FEB 5, 2011
Into the glass pours a dark amber beer with a powerful head. The beer smells hoppy spicy, very tender roasted malt.Starts caramel malty, with subtle roasted flavor. Also, the aftertaste is roasty caramel, but here comes the hop bitterness something better. To the center part, it remains pleasantly caramel, hop bitterness is always concise, giving the beer a little more punch.
