Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 5, 2009
Draught at the Seehas restaurant in Konstanz. Pale golden with a decent white head. Aromatic hops in both aroma and taste. Medium bodied. Plenty of character. Earthy. Some lemon peel which has been lurking around sneaking in. Nice lacework. Dryish finish. Thanks Quack-Duck! pivnizub (10766) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2007
Bottle (thanks to Quack-Duck !): Golden coloured, smaller, slowly collapsing white head; sweet-grainy aroma with a tiny malty touch; solid sweet flavour, not cloying; barley in the mild sweet-bitter finish. Pleasant beer, a bit on the sweet side.......... Quack-Duck (9487) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 22, 2007
bottle. Golden yellow, large head. Malty start, getting more and more hoppy towards the finish. Rather hoppy for an Export-style lager, but really pleasant. MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 15, 2007
(bottle, with thanks to quack-duck) Minimal-hazy, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized head. Moderately sweet, slightly dusty and buttery malt aroma with shy hoppy notes. Medium-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly grainy and buttery taste with a late arriving, restrained hoppiness; malty, slightly bitter and somewhat sticky finish. Rather mediocre and still drinkable but I would prefer the Pils in this case.. Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 10, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2009 courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear golden colour, little elusive foam, some aromatic hops (Tettang?); honeyish maltiness; subtle and solid carbonation, quite dry, herbal and aromatic finish - balanced and well-made

Golden colour, good lastin head, very clean appereance. The aroma is malty. A good malty sweetness dominates the flavour. The aftertaste is weak, just a bit spicy without the necessary bitterness. A very refreshing beer, but not as good as the other Ruppaner beers.
