Tap. Brown copper pour with a dissipating white head. Malt bomb anyone - holy cow. Some nut, grain, and caramel in there as well. But this one is all malt. arminjewell (9646) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Pour on tap at Republic, dark reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sweet caramel, toffee, and sugars, some slight toast, some hints of nuts, dark red ripe fruits as well. Taste is a mix of dark sugars with toffee and caramel, some red fruits, nuts, earth and spice, touch of herbal notes, slight toast, finishing fairly sweet. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - OCT 22, 2011
10/22/11. 12oz bottle. Hazy amber pour with a small khaki head that fades but sticks. Muted malty aroma with a touch of caramel and something that reminds me of oxidation. Slightly fruity flavor that lingers with chocolate and caramel as well as a bitter, grainy aspect. Not bad. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAY 14, 2012
12-oz. Thanks, B! Pours a murky dark amber with loose tan head. Big graham cracker and wet grass nose. Creamy medium body with little carb. Graham crackers and wet grass on the mid palate. Maybe a little lettuce in there. Mild toasty crackery finish. wlajwl (6807) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Aroma is fruit, malts and hints of dark bread and nuttiness. The flavor is moderately strong malts, fruit, nutty notes and a slightly sour/dry finish.

12oz bottle. Glowing orange-copper color. Thin, creamy white head. Pleasantly true-ish to style, nice toasty brown malt notes. Muted noble hops, faint spiciness in the background. Has some of the nice caramel sweetness if a Sticke, but not quite as refined as an authentic version. Comes off a touch boozy, and yet still a little hollow and one-dimensional as well. An interesting effort. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Dark amber to copper in color. Moderate, but stable head of light tan bubbles. Grainy silage scent. Sweet caramel and musty grain flavors. Touch of spiciness, somewhat rye like. Peppery finish and linger.

Dark brown color. Moderately thick, but short head. No perceivable hop aroma or flavor, this is all malt. Lightly roasted grain with very mild bitternes. Good palate, and a little heavier than some of the other alts I have had. A fine session beer. Skyview (6034) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - FEB 9, 2011
On draught at the Hanger Room in Willernie, Minnesota. Pours a clear dark copper colored brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of toasted biscuit and semi-dry dark malt with some floral hops. Taste is powdery dark malt, a hint of mild yeast, and floral hops. Finish is slightly dry, yet still smooth with some floral hop aftertaste that quickly disappears. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - JUL 18, 2014
Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a hazy orange with a small head.
The aroma is pretty caramelly. It’s got some chocolate & cherry. The alcohol is evident but mild on the nose.
The flavor is sweet but not overwhelmingly so. The caramel is fairly restrained it’s got some honey & certainly some alcohol bite. The toasty malt character is really enjoyable & probably my favorite aspect of the beer.
