COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of our favorite styles, this ale is a hop explosion. Light in color, heavily hopped in the kettle as well as conditioned with several unique hop varieties. This creates a beautiful floral/citrusy nose which is balanced well by a smooth and full finish.

Tap at barcade. Better than the bottle I had out in MN a couple summers ago. Pours a mostly clear light cppery orange and a nice sticky head. Aroma is on the phenolic side- lightly grassy alogn with some piney and citrus cascade like hops- seems cold dry hopped from the phenols. A bit more grass and plasticy phenols int eh flavor with some tacky citrus and light pine needle- orange comes through the most on the citrus with some grapefruit but seems a bit solventy as it warmed. Ok bitterness and a sticky finish.

noncaloric (684) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 9, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2009 Enticing hops aroma of flowers and citrus. Hazy amber-orange, full creamy off-white head. Good head retention and lacing. The hops are well-developed in the mouth, but the malts are off, a little lactic, husky on the finish. Unremarkable on the palate.

On tap at Santorini Taverna and Grill in Eden Prairie, MN. Dark amber in color. Indistinct aroma. Taste of light grassy hops and perhaps a hint of malt. Not all that bitter. Somewhat ordinary IPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, ketchup. Flavor is grassy, malty, bitter, not complex and not distinctive. Not awful but definitely not a great IPA.

Courtesy Phillybeer2112. Cloudy light gold pour. Big citrus pine aroma with a nice caramel malt base. Thick chewy hop resiny taste with lots of earth grass and citrus. Has a big bitter bite, very good ipa.

stankenk (130) - Maplewood, Minnesota, USA - NOV 27, 2008
Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a small off-white head. The nose is very sweet with hops, citrus, and caramel. Comes across the palate very hoppy up front. Not overly bitter, but very sweet. Overall a well balanced IPA similar to "New Belgium’s Mighty Arrow". Very smooth finish.

BeerBunker (965) - Burbank, Illinois, USA - NOV 20, 2008
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a beige head. Super heavy carbonation. Aroma is very sweet with hops, citrus, and caramel. Taste is very hoppy up front. Not overly bitter, but very sweet. Not much substance after the initial hop bite. Light mouthfeel, that goes down smooth. Tasty and easy drinkable, if not underwhelming.

Crushed with Jakebra. Got this one cask-conditioned at Three Cellars in Milwaukee. Got some hop presence but not much. So thin it’s almost anorexic. The finish is very bitter but has no other hop presence.

Thanks PhillyBeer2112! Copper color with a thin white head and a little lacing. The aroma is of citrus hops and some malt. The malt comes through a little more in the flavor. Some slight toasted flavors with a hop precense that seems lacking against the malts. Not bad, but not great.
