12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tripplebrew. Served cellar temperature in an English pint. Black as a raven in color with fast diminishing, tan head. Mild lace. Nicely intense roasted malt and chocolate aroma’s. Nice flavors of Milk chocolate, vanilla and a light hop to balance the sweetness. Some lactose sugar. Mouthfeel is creamy. Body is a tad lacking, ABV is only lightly noticeable. Overall a well-executed sweet stout. Not overly sweet. wlajwl (6885) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Aroma is dark malts/malts, fruit and a hint of spring water. The flavor is dark/lightly roasted malts, fruit, mild dark fruit, a hint of chocolate and an acidic/tart/very slight heat in the finish. ajnepple (6706) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 3, 2017
12 oz single bottle from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Council Bluffs (Madison Ave). Deep brown and clear appearance with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light smoke, earth, cocoa and a touch of oak. Similar flavor, adding light licorice and a hint of molasses. Medium body. A solid stout overall. nuplastikk (6313) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2011
12oz bottle, says 8%. Deep opaque brown-black, big luscious rusty beige head. Smooth chocolate aroma. A really well done beer, very sweet and sugary. Big vanilla chocolate tones. The alcohol is impressively hidden. Roasty, mossy, some oily sweetness. Somewhat hollow, watery finish. Overall pretty solid beer. JPDIPSO (6236) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Brown liquid with a tall tan head that dissipates to a thin lid. Cocoa, grains and light roasted scents. Smooth, but a bit lifeless feeling. Light sweet start, with a touch of roasted malt. Mild herbal hops and bitterness in the middle. Finish is slightly acidic (catching some black malt). Feels warming, but not tasting the alcohol. Dare I say a strong Guinness. 10/12

Tap at Grumpys Roseville. Black. Sweet aroma with lactose I think. Sweet and roasted malt. Some chocolate. Solid. Skyview (6076) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 22, 2009
On draught at the Blue Door in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear dark cola brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of toasted dark malt, some lactose, oatmeal, chocolate and a hint of coffee. Taste is medium bodied, a little gritty at first with flavors of toasted dark malt, chocolate some floral hops and some powdered sugar. Finish is semi-sweet, a little metallic texture with a slight oatmeal/lactose aftertaste.

12 ounce bottle pours a dark brown color with aromas of roasted malt, oats, cocoa, vanilla, and a hint of coffee. Flavors are much the same with a slightly boozy aftertaste, nice beer overall. badgerben (5215) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - APR 15, 2010
Black color with a tall head that falls fairly quickly. Sweet malt and chocolate aroma. Silky, milk chocolate flavor. Not a pronounced oatmeal taste, but definitely had an effect on the mouthfeel. Some roasted malt, but generally quite sweet without being cloying. Very nice. ads135 (4727) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - SEP 4, 2015
No more than a hint of chocolate, but this is a drinkable stout more than a dessert beer. Very nice mouthfeel, smooth and silky. Rich aftertaste.
