12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy golden/yellow with a medium white head. Mellow caramel aroma with some corn, grain, and grassy hops. Upfront malt and grains in the taste with some lingering bitter hops on the finish. Simple, clean, refreshing, not much a hefe though. ladyhops (43) - - NOV 25, 2012
As my friend said, "Beautiful color, didn’t like the taste." It’s ok. Very corn heavy flavor. I am maybe mistaken that heffeweizens are sweet, and that would have been nice to taste. Generally unremarkable, but I might buy this again in the summer when I’m in the mood for fresh post-mowing the lawn beer. Ericular (1020) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 14, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 Pours cloudy light golden yellow with good head but not much lacing. Aroma is corn and grain, with not much else to balance - maybe a little bit of citrus. Taste is really mild, pretty bland. More grain dominating the taste. Not offensive, just mild and forgettable. This would be a good beer for someone transitioning from Miller Lite to the world of craft brewing.
Nothing too bold or surprising. A stronger taste than expected - not much carbonation, but a small kick of flavor and spiciness on the way down. Pretty sweet up front with some citrus and corn, refreshing hop level afterwards. Walks the line of entertaining an adventurous light beer drinker, and keeping a beer fan satisfied. 5+3+6+3+12 = 2.9 XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - APR 29, 2012
Had this beer at the 4th Annual Casanova Beer Cave Festival. Light scent, sweet and light cherry flavor. tutal (11) - La Crescent, Minnesota, USA - APR 28, 2012
A fairly straight forward Hefe. Little aroma of note. A nice cloudy golden appearance. Light crisp, citrus taste. The wheat is not overbearing. Clean finish. Head dissipates in minutes.

Extremely average. Which is unusual for Rush River. It’s caught in stylistic limbo and just like the limbo, it isn’t very satisfying and falls flat often. Light golden color with white head. Some banana and clove aroma. Just mediocre all around. DasBierChef (1083) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 17, 2011
About as average a s a beer can get. Not that its bad, just very ordinary. arminjewell (9688) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Pours slightly cloudy yellow, white head. Aroma has notes of banana, clove, touch of fruit. Taste is very light, some sweet fruit and banana, slight yeast, finishing sweet and light in flavor. Overall, not good and weak. erickomosa (68) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 9, 2011
Tap. Opaque orange. Wheat is first on the nose. Also yeast, honey, hops. Taste is wheat, some malts and some hops. Nice crisp finish. Good and clean and drinkable, but sort of bland. Brigadier (3695) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - JUN 7, 2010
On tap at Bodega Brew Pub
Looking over the huge list of options I settled on a regional beer that is not likely to make it to Ohio any time soon. I did not realize they were trying to make a hefeweizen or my attitude may have been different. This is a basic daily drinker with nothing to set it apart. Chances are slim that I will be actively seeking out Rush River beers in the future except when they happen to be the best thing on a limited menu.
Aroma / Appearance - Carbonated and hazy gold the body bubbles lazily. A nice white head floated on top like a layer of frosting. Hoppy but light the nose does not make me think much of a hefeweizen. Bland and dull it feels muted.
Flavor / Palate - Caramel dripped onto honey wheat toast gave a moist impression. Next came shades of a hefeweizen. Finally the light hoppy finish did its best to leave a mark but was otherwise forgettable. Even if this was supposed to be a golden ale it was kind of boring and flat.
