Our flagship beer is 5.5% alc. Deep amber in color, and slightly cloudy, this beer is remarkably smooth. We "dry-hop" this ale in the conditioning tank meaning fresh hops are added after fermentation to steep and add a subtle fruity nose. The yeast for this beer was custom created and cultured for us by a lab in Oregon, insuring a one-of-a-kind experience found in no other micro.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, light fruitiness and a hint of earthiness with a crisp finish.

BeerInHeaven (493) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 8, 2015
pours a murky amber gold with a decent beige head. The nose is slightly floral with a little malt. Taste is sweet at first then the hoppy bitter kicks in and lingers through the finish. Reminds me more of an APA. But I like it.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with a light tan head that lasts through the beer and laces. Aroma has lots of sweet grains with a touch of grass and citrus underlying. Flavor is more of a combination of grass and earthy/sweet grains with a touch of citrus backing.

Draft at the Bulldog in MSP. A dark amber, purely American look with a sudsy type. This is an altogether malty beer with a rich, kinda sugary kick. (#5668, 8/28/2014)

MaltOne (408) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Pours light chestnut amber with pale brief head; cloudy is not quite the word - this had small visible particles suspended throughout. Aroma slightly sweet, floral, yeast, and a hint of tropical fruit. Flavor starts slightly malty, a moment of hops, everything starts to recede, then finishing bloom of hops. Palate is a bit creamy, but mostly crisp an clean. Nice amber.

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Hazy medium amber with a 1/2" beige head, splotches of lace. Taste is malt with light toast and yeast. It moves cleanly to a lightly bittered finish. Their flagship beer is serviceable, but not particularly notable.

wlajwl (7209) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUL 15, 2014
Aroma is citrus, malts and fruit. The flavor is fruit/fruit, citrus, malts, mild hop resin and a long and dry/slightly bitter finish.

jmohno (1679) - Iowa, USA - JUL 2, 2014
Light amber. Light head. Fairly clear with some floaties. Nice aroma balance of malts and hops. Caramel, fruits, hints of chocolate,toffee/cookie. Pretty nice. Taste has some mild toffee, some fruit. some hops. Everything seems to meld nicely in this. As a whole this is a really nice amber. I like this I probably would get a whole sixer of it. For its abv its deceiving, it starts out like it might be lighter but its full of good flavor and body.

Hazy amber pour with a 1 finger, creamy to soapy beige head. Aroma is weird, like Hawaiian Punch and apple juice sweetened with Crystal malts. Flavor is toast, lots of berry and apple fruitiness, intact citrus fruit, spicy and acidic hops, a little caramel, floury wheat and a light nutty note. Light to medium body with a slightly astringent feel and medium carbonation. Decent.
