2011 bottle. Brown with a beige head. Aroma is vanilla, spice, oak, hint of rum. Medium bodied, somewhat thin mouthfeel, inoffensive but unexciting on the palate. Taste is vanilla, spice, flat cola. bulldogops (2490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 15, 2013
Rating #790 - Nov 29, 2013 -Bottle from Rosslyn Liquor. Dark brown pour with a rich, creamy tan foam that bubbles away slowly. Aroma is roast malts, coffee, lots of clove, nutmeg, molasses. Taste is mostly treacle tart, some noble hop bitterness. Feels like Christmas morning. Delicious. gramity (1658) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 13, 2012

First of all, this is Fort Garry, not Russell, St. Nick’s Oaked Spiced Porter. I smell coffee and chocolate. I taste coffee on the back of my throat. Some toffee notes. It’s nice. northropfrye (3593) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 1, 2012
"Fort Garry St. Nick’s Oaked Spiced Porter." Subtle aroma of chocolate and oak. Taste is moderately spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, dark chocolate, more bitter coffee/chocolate than sweet, but not an overly strong taste. Overall, pretty good.

650mL bottle, split with manuchampions, Matts_Property and uhlan, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma of oak chips, vanilla, slight molasses, roasted malt and spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Flavour of tobacco, sweetened chocolate (like an O’Henry chocolate bar), but this dies off, vanilla, no presence of the oak or spices. Nothing offensive, but neither remarkable. Solid attempt.
