Visual: (cellared for 1.5 years). Pours deep coffee brown with a massive long lasting ultra foamy head, thick sticky lacing, a few visible micro bubbles surfacing.

Nose: sweet nutty woody roasted coffee, caramelized barley malt (lvl-6)-pungency

Attack: dry crisp, bright coffee malt impression

Mid-palate: tingly-bubbly, (lvl-1-sweetness), mildy burnt, deep roast coffee, vanilla, slight sour acidic brightness, roasted barley malt

Finish: residual woody roast, subtle bitter hops, lingering roast malt

Summary: Plenty of coffee influence in here, a robust balanced dry body. I prefer a sweeter stout, but this is pleasantly solid nonetheless. Better at 20°C.

Bomber. Clear ruby hued deep dark brown, frothy mocha foam settles and lasts. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is dark roast, sweet darker milk chocolate and lightly bitter espresso bean. Average carbonation, medium bodied, low hopped. Surprisingly easy, but still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Very dark colour. Aroma is a coffeeish, smoky, roasty, appetizing nose. Has a sweet front, a light acidity from the coffee, a rich roasty character without bitterness (Timbertrain is one of the absolute best local roasters), creamy mouthfeel and a deliciously bitter, chocolatey finish. Very nice brew.

Bottle, shared at game night. Very dark brown, light brown head. Nice fresh coffee character, leaning towards mocha perhaps. Medium bodied, dry finish. The best I’ve had from these guys in a long time!

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown color, near black, small color. The coffee aroma is very nice. Dry mouthfeel, roasted malt and coffee flavor, nice but nothing exceptional. Goes well with fatty food.
Quite nice.
