COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. It has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

On tap at Russian River. Aroma is of light cereal grains with a touch of sweetness and very nice floral hop notes. Pours a light straw color, white head has good retention and leaves lots of lacing. Nice Pils malt notes, low/medium bitterness, some citrus, finish is clean and dry. Light body, medium carbonation.

Tap at Zeitgeist. Pours a straw yellow with a white head. Nose has wheat, hay, spices and cloves. Pretty floral nose. Taste is easy going - Belgium yeast and herbal spices combing with a dry floral bitterness. Another decent session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 "better than most blondes, but still a blonde. the addition of hops adds a little to the flavor level and aroma, but this one suffers in comparison to other great RR beers."

Draft sampler pour at Face to Face Beerfest ( f2f.org ): brightest clarity, lightest brass, with mixed bubbles, lacing. Light-bodied. Sweet malt, hints of gravel; crispy & firm finish that dries out with hoppy resin note.

On tap at the brewery. Pours light golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some pale malts, and light dough and bread notes. Flavor the same with a decent amount of hops for the style. Average texture. A solid blond ale.

Keg at Russian River (I didn’t come 6,000 miles to tick Golden Fucking Blondes - but I had to of course), Santa Rosa, 27/04/14. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white swirl atop the glass. Nose is orange, citric rind, light florals, bread dough. Taste comprises floral hops, straw, lemon rind, orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lemon bitterness. Ok GB, may benefit from being cask conditioned to work the flavours out a little more.
