COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale with currants added and aged in oak barrels.

When we made the Toronados 20th Anniversary Ale, we had no idea that it would turn out to be one of our favorite barrel aged beers we would ever make. With that said, we have always wanted to make a dark barrel aged beer using 100% Cabernet Sauvignon barrels but, we never were inspired. That is, until we blended five different beers to make the Toronado beer, the tobacco character from the the dark malts blended nicely with the furit character that developed in blending. So, with Concescration we set out to make a barrel beer using all Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. No, we are not saying that this is a replica of the T-rooms anniversary beer, after all, a beer like that can never be duplicated, and, there was no fruit added to that beer as there is with this one. All we are saying is that it gave us great inspiration to brew Consecration.

RR seem to have these beers down to an art. Consecration is a perfect example, Looks a nice fruity brown/red colour and smells tart on the aroma. The taste is all there, tart, sour, love the wine flavour, one of the best!

Currants, a light funk, some spice and a bit of alcohol on the nose. The taste is dark fruits with a pretty high sourness and a nice wine-like character. A nice carbonation with some oak coming through as the beer warms. One of my favorite sours!

Bottle. This is a really well done sour ale. There is so much going on here that you get a different angle every sip.

Thank you to Brad for sharing this with me. Pours a copper in color with a quickly fading beige head. The aroma gives off spices, grape, wine, oak, apple, and alcohol, without any of these impressions standing out over others. The taste makes you think of wine. It has grape, spices, alcohol, and vinegar and some earthiness. Its quite tart, with mild sourness. This is medium in body, with a sticky texture, and has some soft, bubbly carbonation. Altogether, this one is different, with many impressions of wine as advertised.

Imperialny Flanders ze znakomicie ukrytym alkoholem i wyraźnymi jeżynami. Wyraźny, acz delikatny ocet winny, bardzo dużo nut czerwonego, wytrawnego wina. Podobny do Oblivion z Wicked Weed.

Pours mahogany into a tumbler. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Cinnamon, cherry and clove aromas. Tart with dark cherry upfront turning to pith, sour earth and cabernet before the jaw clenching, medium length finish.

Shared 12.68 oz. bottle poured to a snifter showing a lightly hazed, amber highlighted, brown tone, with a modest layer of tan foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was vinous, dark grape & currant. Ditto on the taste, tart & tangy, with a hint of woodiness as cedar. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, and complementary, tannic bitterness. A treat for us Midwesterners!

Aroma carries the barrels well. Tart sour and wine. Red brown with hazy appearance. Taste is lighter than I thought. Mouth is claggy. Tap
