COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale with currants added and aged in oak barrels.

When we made the Toronado’s 20th Anniversary Ale, we had no idea that it would turn out to be one of our favorite barrel aged beers we would ever make. With that said, we have always wanted to make a dark barrel aged beer using 100% Cabernet Sauvignon barrels but, we never were inspired. That is, until we blended five different beers to make the Toronado beer, the tobacco character from the the dark malts blended nicely with the furit character that developed in blending. So, with Concescration we set out to make a barrel beer using all Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. No, we are not saying that this is a replica of the T-rooms anniversary beer, after all, a beer like that can never be duplicated, and, there was no fruit added to that beer as there is with this one. All we are saying is that it gave us great inspiration to brew Consecration.

RR seem to have these beers down to an art. Consecration is a perfect example, Looks a nice fruity brown/red colour and smells tart on the aroma. The taste is all there, tart, sour, love the wine flavour, one of the best!

Heavy sour. More aggressive sour citrus, lemon peel, acidic lemon, lime juice, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Keg at Euclid Hall, Denver.

Od początku potężny, głęboki, kwaśny profil z niuansami owoców w typie wiśni, jeżyn, porzeczek, czyli tym czym cechuje się Cabernet Sauvignon i piwo oddało charakter beczki. Wysycenie ciut za wysokie. W smaku na początku słodkie, przyjemne, momentalnie staje się kwaśne, taninowe, owocowe, a finisz jest długi, obfitujący w garbniki, wytrawny. Dużo ciemnych owoców, dębiny i dzikiego charakteru. Świetne w odbiorze przy dosyć potężnym ciele, alkohol świetnie ukryty. Piwo bardzo przyjemne, z czystą przyjemnością sięga się po kolejny łyk. Klasa.

Pours a dark cranberry reddish brown with no visible head. Tart aroma with notes of red wine. Not too tart or sour but enough to give a full mouth tingly feel. The currents give it a nice tart cranberry like flavor. Slightly dry finish but very refreshing and enjoyable.

37,5 cl bottle, last one on Whole Foods shelf, straight from California back to Italy. Pours a moderate one finger off white head, deep ruby to dark brown appearance. The aroma it unleashes is a pure and pungent aromatic bomb: cherries and amarena, raspberries, ribes, fruit and berries all over the place, and then this unique fresh piedmont red grapes background that captures everything, closing with a sweet wooden scent. Tastes young northern italy red wine, ribes, berries, amarena, with again a fabulous barrel and wooden finish. Spot on medium and fruity sweetness, medium plus and very smooth sourness which dissolves quite quickly leaving a light fruity tartness behind, not acidic or balsamic whatsoever; almost inexistent dissolving bitterness, it doesn't even need it. The red wine and light carbernet notes are really there and very pleasing. Medium to full bodied and mid carbonated, light fizzy and creamy texture. It probably can't surpass the BFM Saint Bon Chien as the best Flemish/Brown Red Sour I've ever tried (and in the world), but it's there, and honestly beats by far most "real belgian" brown sours. With the Lost Abbey Framboise Amorosa elevates California as a really serious producer of amazing dark sours in general. Awesome stuff... Great Job!

Pours reddish amber with a minimal beige head that fades quickly. Nice vinous aromas with currants and grapes and hints of wood and lactos. Tart attack, nice currants and wood complexity on the palate, finishes dry and tart. Very good.

Brown colored with a tan head. Aroma is oak, sour cherry, grape, vanilla, light alcohol. Medium bodied, moderate to high tartness, pleasant and well balanced.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark pour. Aroma of oak, cherry, tart and mild acid. Rich taste of cherry, tart, oak, vinous red grape, ripe fruit, soft sourness and a long finish. This is true quality.
