(draft) Clear golden body topped by a pillowy, creamy, thick off-white head that leaves fantastic lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, Bret, oak, light vinegar, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, Bret/oak, light lemon, grassy. Soft, light-medium body. BuckNaked (1230) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - APR 1, 2006
On draught at the Brickskeller: Pours to a lightly hazy glowing golden colored body with a medium frothy white head. The aroma has some light fruit, floral and lightly spicy hops, along with hints of sweet malt, lemon, and some mild funk. The taste has some floral/grassy hop flavors, earthy pale malt, with some tartness showing up in the form of brett, lemon, and some tannic oak barrel that reminds me very much of the oak flavors from Temptation (tannins, dry white wine, woody, lasting oak flavors). Medium bodied, yet managing to feel very crisp and fluffy in the mouth, moderate carbonation, finishes lightly tart with extended floral hop and oak notes. Sampled from growler: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange color with a thick, frothy, clumpy-lacing white head. Tart, sour, funky, and mildly citric aroma has a touch of dry earthy hops. Body starts with some sweet earthy maltiness, a touch of orange peel and a nicely balanced funky tartness. Smooth flavorful finish. Another winner from Russian River. ruggedman (647) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAR 8, 2006
On tap at the Brickskeller in DC. Hazy unfiltered gold pour with a fluffy white head. Caramel and citrus hops with a nice biting taste. Pretty generous on the carbonation when I had it. It’s a belgian I guess, but I liked it more than a typical belgian. Not too fruity and bitter enough to satisfy me. Good job Russian River! SDbruboy (1863) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 7, 2006
On draft at brewpub. Hazed golden color with a medium white, creamy head that leaves complex lacing. Citric and acidic aromas, light sour fruitiness, dry and vinuous. Flavors are tart and dry, a little funk and bret character, lemon notes and bay in the finish. Light body, creamy carbonation with a bit of a bite on the tongue. This is a goodie!

"Poured a dark golden almost orange color small head. Aroma was cirtus and peachy. Taste was much the same, mabye some white grapes and finished grassy hops in the aftertaste. Good beer" goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - FEB 27, 2006
Growler thanks to DaveCooks. Poured a hazy gold with a large almost white head. Aroma was semi-sweet and earthy. Caramel and yeastiness. Mild leather aroma. Lightly tart with some notes of gum. Nice and complex. Flavor was sweet with a light malt that drys out quickly. Light bitterness with a touch of leather on the finish. Yummy. On tap at brewpub. Bretto, bubblegum, fruit in the aroma. Taste has a nice sour, and fruity bit to it. Taste is much like the aroma. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - FEB 22, 2006
On tap at the Brewpub. Pours an orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy, touch of brett and tart. A medium bodied ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of orange and orange peel. Lots of tartness. Nice mixture of tart/sour/funk that blends well with the fruit sweetness. Nice lively carbonation. Extremely nice, subtle beer, this one will grow on you. Awesome. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some tartness.
