Draught at the brewpub. Clear pale amber. Light acidic barnyrad aroma. Dryish with fairly clean mouthfeel. Citric and lively with some grassy hops. Has some similarities to good, dry cider. Not as complex as for instance Supplication, but still very good. Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 11, 2006

Hazy light amber colour. Soapy, perfumey hop character with strawlike pale malts adding to the mix. Fresh, fruity character with light dusty yeast notes, hints of pear and a good amount of brett. Great beer - takes the effort of a master and utilizes it in a beer for the proletariat without either dumbing it down nor pricing it up. Kick ass.
(draft) Clear golden body topped by a pillowy, creamy, thick off-white head that leaves fantastic lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, Bret, oak, light vinegar, lemon. Taste is medium sweet, Bret/oak, light lemon, grassy. Soft, light-medium body. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2006 On tap. Poured a medium golden / amber color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of brett, citrus (lemons), tart berries, leather and all around funky. On tap at Toronado. This dark golden ale poured with a thin off-white head. The flavor starts off slightly sweet, then turns tart with a bitter barnyard finish. The brett is very evident and adds a nice level of complexity to this fine brew. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 19, 2005
Draft. Golden amber beer with a whitish head. Soured aroma, but nothing very strong. Tart flavor with a bit of green apple. Creamy mouthfeel. Tartness complements the beer very nicely - it’s not at all overpowering. Dry finish. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2007
On tap at the Russian River Brewery. It poured clear gold with thin white head. It has a big aroma of mild sweetness, yeasty funky sourness and mild tartness. It isn’t over the top sour or tart. The flavor is sourness that mixes with mild sweetness and turns tart as the experience progresses. There’s mild wood, floral and spice hop notes too. Refreshing offering. Sampled from growler: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange color with a thick, frothy, clumpy-lacing white head. Tart, sour, funky, and mildly citric aroma has a touch of dry earthy hops. Body starts with some sweet earthy maltiness, a touch of orange peel and a nicely balanced funky tartness. Smooth flavorful finish. Another winner from Russian River.
