Nice and light, very drinkable - low carbonations, nice yeast flavor. Despite it’s smooth finish I found a great layered complexity to the flavors. Highly recommended with a meal or on a hot day! SuzyGreenberg (1604) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 27, 2008
draft @ brewery - served in a goblet; light orange with thin haze; aromas of honey, mild hops, grass, wood and bread; flavors are mild too, but this is a sweet, delicate beer and i really enjoyed; not too sweet and flavors mostly of grass, lemons and honey; a very nice change of pace from the rest of the menu illidurit (2356) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 2, 2008
On tap at the brewery. Light gold color with a watery white head that leaves some scattered lacing. Aroma is juicy and sweet. Obviously very floral, but with a spicy character as well. Flavor is light and refreshing, with a hibiscus type of flower petal character and a peppery dry finish. Very easy to drink. BrotherGrendel (787) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 12, 2008
On draft at Toronado SF. Appearance is a bright translucent hardy yellow hue, layer of dense white head sustains, moderate lacing. Smell is honey, floral hops, light fruits (pears, apples, apricots, berries), earthy/grassy tones, bread malts, flowers and spices. Taste is light fruits and berries up front, underlying layer of sweet honey and floral (violet?) highlights, spices, faint hints of sweet bread, finishes sweet.
Palate is medium-bodied, smooth and creamy texture, moderate carbonation
Overall, a unique ale with the most floral character I have ever experienced, light and punchy overall, holds my interest but not enough for a repeat. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - MAY 25, 2008
Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This is the version brewed at Russian River by Vinnie and Agostino. This spiced beer poured a slightly hazy light orange gold color. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and very delicate; there is a hint of roses and some fruit. A light bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of very delicate flavors, floral and roses, some honey and a fruit I guess is elderberry. Nice beer. You will really need to drink this one all by itself, any food pairing would overwhelm the flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours clear gold, with a three-inch head of dense white. Retention is average, leaving behind plenty of smeared lacework and a partial skim-coat on the surface.
Aromatics are floral, perfumy, and lightly sweet and spicy. Rose petals with honey and white peppercorns.
Fresh dew in a flower garden with earthy cedar underfoot.
Light bodied, creamy and slightly crisp. A bit tacky and clingy.
Very light malt and crisp wheat lead off the pallet, along with a light spicy note and some residual honey. A slight bitterness takes the edge of the light residuals.
Finishes with rounded honey notes, a hint of lemon, and rosewater.
A very delicate brew, and the pallet doesn’t really deliver what the nose promises. Refreshing and quenching.
I hope to try the small amount that made it into barrels someday.

tap at the brewery. Nice aroma of yeast, honey and flowers, with taste to match. Pretty smooth drinker. bumpskier (33) - Sonoma, California, USA - MAY 27, 2008
On tap at the pub in Santa Rosa. Pours slightly hazy with very little head. Carbonation is on the low to medium side. The aroma is very unique. Varying from the yeast to the many flowers used. The beer is served a little too cold and truly mellows as it warms to around 50F. It was a pleasant surprise & yet quite similar to other RRBC Belgian beers. Quite nice. I was very glad to get some before it goes away. AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Pours an attractive bright orange with decent white head. Spicy and fruity nose. Similar flavor with a bit more fruit sweetness that lingers. Very delicate on the palate. Thanks to davecooks for this one. ABUSEDGOAT (2904) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2008
Draft at Toronado. Orangish yellow colored. I was told it was a saison. Aroma is attractive with floral and spicy notes. Medium bodied, fairly dry. There’s definitely something fun in this one.
