375ml of the second batch, temptation base. Bright red, almost fuschia color, pink head that disappeared quick. Looks like a Kriek. The smell was funky, sort of fecal like manure, a hint of fruit. Flavor was sour, acidic, sharp fruit but not a distinct raspberry flavor. Overall, a good beer but not one of Russian Rivers best. Id like to have tried the beatification version so hopefully that make that again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-14-2012 19:57:07

On draft for GABF 2012. Pours a beautiful deep pinkish color with a white-pink head. Nose is raspberries, berry flesh, some funk, and a nice sweetness. Flavor is similar with some mild tartness behind big raspberries, hints of earthy funk, and sweet berries. Beautiful color and beautiful tasting framboise.

vibrant pink color, little head. Fantastic aroma, fairly balanced between fruit and sour. Not nearly as sour as some describe, fruit aroma is much stronger than the flavor. seems like the base beer is muted a bit with the addition of the fruit.

2012 bottle shared this afternoon, thanks! Pours a rad boob pink with thin white head. Aroma is temptation, brett, raspberry and light hay and ripe cheese. Taste is super balanced with the fruit being front and center, dry, crisp, slight sour notes but just done so well. Overall, one of my favorite RR beers to date, glad I have some more to hoard for myself. Hope this gets made year after year so I can trade an arm and a leg to norcal trading newbs who want Blabear for it.

Pink in color, very little aroma, just some acidity. My notes say sour as fuck, so Im guessing the beer lacks ballance.

Amazing pink color with almost no head, dry and tart with the most natural raspberry flavor ive ever experienced in a beer. Not overly sour but youd know this was RR if you didnt see the bottle! #500 on Untappd

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear, bright purple with some thin pink head. Big raspberry nose, fruity, musty, earthy, jammy. Flavor is sweet, earthy, berry jam, bitter greens, lemon, raspberry. Full bodied, tart, lightly acidic finish. Good, but lacks the complexity of some of their other sours.

2012. Very nice one here. Dray, tart, and such good raspberry. I feel like throwing raspberry into Temptation couldnt have produced something poor.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2012 Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Bright ruby color with a medium pinkish-white head and spotty lace. Aroma of citrus and raspberries. Medium body with a tart berry character and notes of malt and oak. The finish is slightly funky with a raspberry aftertaste. Solid all around.
