Growler from the brewpub! Sterling hops. Nose has citrus hops with a hints of pine and flowers. Lightly hazy orange with a big pale yellow head that nices laces the glass. Flavor is moderate bitterness and a little caramel. Finish is nicely lingering bitterness. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAR 5, 2014
On draft at the brewpub. Galaxy hops, if I recall correctly. Golden pour with a white head. Aroma of pine, orange peel, and citrus. Some pineapple and mango. Flavor is quite bitter, fruity and nice. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, Crisp bitter finish. Pretty cool, bro. DYCSoccer17 (3703) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 16, 2013
10 ounce sample on tap at Russian River. 100% Cascade Cross Pale Hops. Aroma is pretty faint. Lightly piney hop nose. Light sugary sweetness, too. Not too much happening here. Moderately hazy orange body with a white head and OK lacing. Starts with light piney and a slight cheesy flavoring. Decent malt sweetness in the middle with some milky malt notes. Finishes with very mild bitterness. Well-crafted, but pretty bland. rouhlas (3628) - GREECE - FEB 7, 2017

Growler, courtesy of a friend. Thanks, yo! Cascade something variety? Pours a murky, honey-orange color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. A bit of basic, floral and herbal hop character in the aroma; not much here, oddly. Medium body; lively carbonation; again, basic crystallized sugar and earthy, floral hops; definitely not an IPA, and a pretty bland pale ale. Totally an odd release from Russian River, and I think the Cascade ______ hops aren’t doing much here. Eh. Balanced finished of candy sugar and light bitterness. dchmela (3075) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2009
On tap at RR, this is the Sterling version. Pours a light gold with a thick white head. Aroma is light smooth hop aroma, a little orange. Taste is smooth crisp malt, a little grassy and not spicy or over the top. A very mellow hop variety that makes a unique ipa. DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - JAN 30, 2005
(Draft: O’Brien’s in San Diego, CA) The flavor is hoppy and moderately bitter, but with very little malt for balance, but I suppose that is intentional to showcase the hops. The light malt flavor is grainy, but I couldn’t taste it until I took a big mouthful. The finish is quite bitter. With the light malt presence, the light to medium body isn’t surprising, but the beer does seems a bit flat to me. Fresh hops nose is very nice. Medium gold in color and slightly hazy, but the beer looks totally still. White head pours to a quarter-inch in height and slowly fades to a sheen, leaving some patchy lacing here and there. It’s an okay beer, and I understand what Vinnie is doing here, but I’m not a fan of purely hoppy beers. PilsnerPeter (3046) - Flushing, New York, USA - APR 14, 2009
Tap at the brewpub: (Sterling was used at the time of my visit) Light yellow golden pour with a dense white film. Soft citrus hop aroma. Twiggy, clean with some hay notes. Creamy body. Balanced flavor with some mild nutty malt undertones that mesh with a clean hoppy flavor. Mildly resiny with a tannic AA finish. A nice session (that tasted like it had no hops in it after PTE) BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 29, 2014
On tap @ RR! 14 karat pour with a small ivory crown. Grapefruit pith, mango, papaya, and guava all present themselves in the nose and on the palate. Well crafted but not robust. Lots of subtleties that make it a cut above other single-hop beers I’ve had before but still not terrible complex. Glad I had a chance to try this!
