[2/12/15] Draught at Russian River in Santa Rosa. Clear amber-brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, a bit of toast and a fruity note. Toasty, malty flavor, with caramel, nuts, light fruitiness, some decent hoppiness and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. SG111 (1820) - New York, USA - FEB 19, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours a brown hazelnut color. Small head but sticky lacing. Aroma is malts and chocolate. Very light aroma. Flavor is chocolate, malts, and a surprisingly bitter hoppy finish. Nice for a brown ale. NeuroPliny (247) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
Taster at Russian River. Clear copper; white head. Nose is citrus, hops, and caramel. Flavour is roasted malts balanced by big hops with notes of grapefruit and pine resin. Nice English brown ale style beer.

Had on draft at the brewery. Fantastic! Pine, fruity, some floral and earthy hops notes. The malts are chocolate, caramel. slowrunner77 (12037) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 19, 2014
A slightly suped up and hoppier than usual english style brown...though it somehow manages to maintain a good balance, just in a bigger tastier than usual package. I’d have guessed 6% or less. Not too shabby. More malty than hoppy despite the 60+ ibu."

Brown ale is brown. On tap at the source. Very mild with light bready maltiness and medium sweetness. Could use some toasty malts and complexity. Theydon_Bois (19483) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2014
Keg at RR brewpub Santa Rosa, 27/04/14.
Dark amber with a moderately appointed light tan covering that stays for the show.
Nose is caramel malt, hoppy tones, biscuit, toffee.
Taste comprises light pine, caramel, hop presence makes itself known.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent hoppy brown. Taverner (1100) - San Ramon, California, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Perfect brown ale. Better than DFH India Brown Ale, yet in that class. Pours brown with a nutty, dry character. Ends clean. Hoppy YET not too dry.
