"a solid well balanced APA from RR. malt and grapefruity hops about equal on the aroma, which is light and pleasant. a little more bitterness in the flavor, especially at the back, but enough sweetish bready malt comes through to balance. for a lighter pale, it’s one of the better ones i;ve had." beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 1, 2007
Tasted on tap at brewpub. This American Pale Ale pours a orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, mostly orange and apricots). A medium to full bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nice balance. Crisp hop bitterness. Nice finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter bb (9695) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 13, 2007

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2007 sample at pub. Rating from memory so I don’t have details, but I know I didn’t like this one as much as some of their others. It is pretty balanced, but something feels unbalanced at the same time, like the hops and malts are clashing and not working together. And I am normally a big APA fan.

Malt and hops jockey back and forth for your attention. A nice clean beer with good malt forward character and wonderful hop follow thru. Very pleasant and satifying beer that leaves one wanting more. nahthan (129) - Oakland, California, USA - MAY 29, 2006
On tap at the brewery. Excellent pale ale. Correct usage and amount of biscuit/special B malts added an unexpected malty finish. Nice citrus bite to the hops, and a solid bitter backbone. Not too hoppy, very balanced. This is great, I would like to see more smaller-beer offerings from RR available outside the brewery. IrishBoy (4225) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAY 28, 2006
