Growler, courtesy Dyan. Gold pour with a small white head, some retention/lace. Aroma of grassy, citrus, cheesy hops, biscuit. Taste moderately bitter, mostly cheesy hops, citrus, caramel, biscuit. Palate is sharp carbonation, slick, moderately bitter finish. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Big thanks to TurdFurgison for sharing this growler. Pours a nice golden color with a white head and some nice lacing. The nose carries some pineapple, mango, and tropical fruits plus a bit of citrus. Flavor is similar but a bit more pungent. Everything is more on the mellow end of the spectrum, especially for Russian River. Body is light-medium and somewhat bitter. Quite interesting and fairly tasty. I certainly wouldn’t complain about having this again. GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 31, 2012
2L growler thanks to dyan. Clear orange amber with medium off white foam. Cheesy nose. Candied pineapple. Taste is malty, salty, thicker, mild dessert profile. Palate is nutty, a bit thin. Slightly tannic. Mild astringency. Eh.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2013 A - pours clear amber orange with low white head. Strong lacing. S - very subtle tropical fruit and piney hops. Nice notes of caramel malts. The quietest ipa aromas yet. M - amazingly light ipa. Nice palate. Creamy smooth mf. T - floral and tropical fruits up front. Notes of dough and lime on the palate. Lingering dry grasses and clover ending. Nice green vegetal like sweet peas. O - bit the best brewed perhaps but my favorite ipa so far. Light and drinkable. 7 kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2012 Update: It’s gotten a big rougher over the span of two weeks. Some alcohol noticeable and significantly reduced aroma. Docked a couple points.

Sample at Boonville Beer Festival, followed by growler from RR. Pours a bright, golden-orange color; modest white head with nice lacing. Lots of juicy citrus and tropical fruits in the aroma; orange-laden and mouthwatering. Medium body; lively carbonation. Lots of tropic fruit and orange hoppiness; seems more like an assertive pale ale than a full-blown IPA, as the core hop bitterness just isn’t there; juicy, dank, refreshing, and damn tasty. Lasting, soft bitterness in the finish; a quietly toasty core.
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Russian River. Clear light orange pour with a small clingy head. Citrus hop nose and taste. Delicious. EHopper (620) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 11, 2012
Tasted as one of a flight of 17 with Kaetchen at RR. Light straw color, light grass and pasture aroma, familiar to me as a child standing by the barn on our farm in North Dakota. Dry, citrus flavor, with a sourness that lingers for a short time. Pretty unique. lightandrhythm (63) - - MAY 9, 2012
Bright hoppy IPA. Tangy citrus notes compliment the bitterness of the hops. Medium high carbonation gives a snappy mouthfeel.
