[2/12/15] Draught at Russian River in Santa Rosa. Clear golden. Aroma of citric hops and a bit of diacetyl. Flavor has light diacetyl, citric hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Sammy (12195) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2010
Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. A full bitterness, full flavoured APA. Golden colour and lacey. slowrunner77 (12037) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 7, 2014
"Enough hops that I still wonder if 42 ibus is a mistake. great balance, though. this is way better than your average pale...more aromatic, more flavor, and better balance. quite good. If it weren’t for their amazing IPAs and barrel aged belgians, it’s worth a pint."

Draft. Rich mahogony-amber color with a nice off-white head. Citrus hop aroma. Citrus flavor with some pine and earthiness and a touch of malt backing. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - FEB 15, 2015
Funny name for this beer and an appropriate homage since I’ve had a few of these in Santa Rosa over the years… It pours a pale gold color with a white head. The aroma has citrus, pine, florals a little bread. The flavor is the same. Nice citrus floral hoppiness, but a bit of a weak body. Solid bitterness. A decent pale ale, but probably one of my least favorites from RR.

Clear golden with a fluffy white head. Good sweet caramel and grapefruit aroma and taste with a crisp dry sweet grass finish. Good. travita (5003) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 8, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. The look is clear, golden in color, with a decent white colored head. The smel is citrus, caramel, bitterness, and earth. Good aroma. The taste is light bitterness, pine, caramel, and hops. nickd717 (4679) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 15, 2009
Fresh growler shared at a BeerAdvocate event. This is a pale ale and not an IPA? Wow. Appearance is, well, pale. Bright golden in color with a nice creamy white head. Piney and floral hops and some sweet malt on the aroma, a lot like Russian River IPA or Blind Pig. Flavor is sweet malt and loads of fresh piney hops with a hint of light fruits. Medium body with a light, refreshing, and crisp mouthfeel. Top notch for the style and an excellent summer session beer. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Growler from alex. Thanks man... Pours a hazy apple cider brown with a medium soapy white head... Grassy mellow citrusy hop, pretty tame... Flavors are a quaffable earthy citrus component without much of a bitterness. Drinkable but not as memorable. A really nice palate
cleanser nonetheless. Non-obtrusive and easily imbibed. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - SEP 29, 2009
Draft @ Russian River. Pours a clear, bright effervescent orange color; fluffy white head with great retention and lacing. Loads of clean, fresh earthy bitterness in the aroma, with a touch of candy sugar beneath; refreshing. Hugely drinkable pale ale: juicy orange and earthy bitterness, minimal astringency, perfect levels of carbonation, and just incredibly juicy and generous and crisply drinkable; excellent, excellent rendition. Lasting finish: toasty breadiness, some honey; nicely dry and mineral bitterness at the far end.
