Fad: taster på brewpub. Sortbrun øl med et lækkert stort skumhoved. Sødlig maltduft klassisk porter. Ingen ristede noter. Ekstrem drikbar porter. Jeg er meget imponeret af disse to mørke øl som RR ellers ikke er så kendte for at brygge. Lækker øl.

On tap at the RR Brewpub in Santa Rosa. A: dak brown, nearly opaque but clear. Somewhat weak head still leaves very good lacing. Aroma: as expected for style: a role model. Flavor: refined dark roastd malts; fine London style porter Feel: smooth; medium body; medium-low carbonation. O: unremarkable excepting the high quality.

Draft at brewery. Nose is chocolate with a light roast. Taste is amazingly smooth chocolate. Just a perfect balance of cocoa and chocolate with a touch of dark bitter chocolate to dry it out. Short of roast. Great damn porter. A touch thin but truly great.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate, light smoky notes, hints of dark fruits, and light dough. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average to smoother texture. A solid porter.

Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2014
On tap at Russian River Brewery - Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. A brown-black pour with a non-lasting tan head and abundant lacing. The taste is rich and robust. Dark roasted malts, lactose, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Wonderful! Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Overall, an excellent robust porter. I may move to CA.
