WOW ... this is only 5.5% is appears much stronger ... deep black thin tan head ... deep smooth chocolate malts... soft dark toasted fruits nose ... Rich roast malts again very smooth ... rich chocolate toffee ... good depth with quite a lot of hops in background ... Really quite stunning ... But id have put it much higher ABV... Tap. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Long smooth finish. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 1, 2010
A: The pour is a deep, dark brown color with a finger’s worth of tan foam.
S: Great notes of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. There is a slight smokiness and even a touch of vanilla.
T: The flavor is a bit more heavy on the coffee and roasted malt with less of a chocolate presence. The smokiness is there as well, but once again just provides a bit of complexity. There’s also a slight bitterness on the finish.
M: The body is on the full side of medium with a moderate level of creamy carbonation.
D: Quite a complex and delicious porter. I have been looking forward to trying this one for some time and it did not disappoint. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 21, 2017

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Creamy, nice hop flavor going down. More of a stout than the norm, with a slight smoky aftertaste slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 7, 2014

LCBS 2010. What a standout porter. Holy shit. Brown pour, tan head. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Flavor is so smooth. Chocolate, dark fruits, roasted malt. Helluva porter. RR just kicks ass. End of story. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 11, 2014
