Growler supplied by friends of Hangar 24, Mike and Janet, thanks guys. Rating #66. Poured a very dark brown with a small tan head. Chocolate roast aroma and a little sweetness also. Big roasty flavor right up front, more coffee than chocolate, seemed a lot different than the aroma with just a little sweetness in the finish, really nice though. Russian river porter. Thanks to alex for sharing... Pours a dark cola
brown with lighter reddish edges and a thin soapy just off-white
head... Big roast aroma and cocoa chocolate nose. Quite assertive...
Roast and toasted malt, sweetened middle, and smooth finish. Fine
drinkabity in this one. Really creamy body and smooth all around. One of the best porters that i’ve had in a long time. excellent.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2010 Another mad growler shared by Johnathan at the LCBS 10. A nice porter. Chocolate, roasted malts, and some coffee. It was just a little bitter for my taste. But in all fairness, I just had Millennium and M, so the next guy might have trouble measuring up. i would like to revisit this beer again... olio (10552) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 21, 2012

Pours deep dark red color with small head. Aroma of ash dry chocolate, dark toasted malts, hints of fruits and cocoa. Flavour of dry chocolate, dark dried fruits, cocoa, faint notes of coffee, vanilla and some caramel. Very smooth chcolsty palate with a very dry malty finish. Yet again a very balanced brew.

Aroma has some dark chocolate and cocoa. Flavour is roasted with dark chocolate and hints of licorice. Rather good porter, reminds me of Sinebrychoff Porter, which is more roasted though.
Fad: taster på brewpub. Sortbrun øl med et lækkert stort skumhoved. Sødlig maltduft klassisk porter. Ingen ristede noter. Ekstrem drikbar porter. Jeg er meget imponeret af disse to mørke øl som RR ellers ikke er så kendte for at brygge. Lækker øl. beertholomeus (1814) - California, USA - MAY 16, 2015
Pours a dark brown color with an off white head. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, toast and roasted malt aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation with caramel and roasted malt finish. SinH4 (6274) - Garching b. Mnchen, GERMANY - JUN 28, 2015
Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Brown color with amber highlight and nice small stable tan head. Roasted malts, bitter chocolate, liquorice, and bitter finish. Low carbonation (again: hand pump?). An excellent Porter - sweet without being sweet, but still sorta bitter and dry. aspidites (1271) - manteca, California, USA - OCT 10, 2006
Wonderful toffee, cream and mocha nose that is very well balanced with roasted and coffee flavors and no malt astringency. Soft clean mouthfeel that seems more brown porter that anything else. Clean beer that is a true seesion porter. nickd717 (4889) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 13, 2009
On tap at Toronado in SF. Nicely done porter, one I could drink all night. Dark brown, nearly black in color with tan head. Coffee, bitter cocoa, and roastiness on the aroma. Same on the flavor, lots of coffee and some licorice. Smooth mouthfeel.
