Hey everyone! I just wanted to tell you about this new beer I tried! It’s called PROPITATION! I LUFFED it! It was GREAT shape! Rofl! illidurit (2338) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 26, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. 1st rating woooo! Deep amber brown with a tan head. Brown sugar, black cherries, molasses, port wine, aged balsamic vinegar. Really awesome nose. Flavor is even better. Slight milk chocolate and lactose sweetness lasts for a second before a beautiful lactic acidity plows it over and leaves nice lemon pith and grape skin accents behind. So good. On tap @ the brewery. Wonderful roasty notes of the porter combined with Russian River’s excellence in sour technique make this a fantastic brew! zizzybalubba (1868) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Sampled at GABF 2013. Dark brown, nearly black, pour with a very short head. Aroma of sour cherry and apple cider vinegar. Wonderful tart flavor of dark fruit that is rounded out by just a touch of dark chocolate. Finish is tart and satisfying. Outstanding. TheRealMGD (555) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2016
Tap @ RR. Lovely balance of roast, wood, sour and wine, without excess acidity.

On tap at Russian River. Black with a tan head. Very tart and acidic. Vinegar, wine, oak. I didn't get much of the porter characteristics though like chocolate or coffee. Still a very good sour ale.

"Dark brown, small head. Wonderfully balanced aroma of lemons, light funk, wine, roasted barley. Well carbonated, giving it an additional sour bite. Flavor is quite sour though the porter comes through nicely as well. This is yet another world class sour beer from Russian River. Great brew!" Bule (2160) - California, USA - MAY 27, 2015
On tap at Russian River. Pours a dark brown color with a bit of a head. Mildly sour, lots of plum and raisin fruit. Yum.

tap at brew pub..pour is dark with a tan head..Nose is nice soft chocolate, roast, tartness, bugs..Taste is nice barrel, roast, dryness, tart, dry, sweet grape.. jaross (28) - - JUL 15, 2013
Smell is deep dry fruit with a slight vinegar and citrus. Pours dark and consistent brown-black. Taste starts slightly sweet. At very first it seems like just another porter then quickly the sour builds. Prunes and vinigar top off with grapefruit which lingers at the end.
