3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375 ml C&C bottle served in a Founders snifter. Batch 011.
A: Pours a golden russet apple color with a chilled haze to the body. The body has some lively bubbles and pushes up a one finger, bone white head that subsides to a thin collar and film. Some splotches of lace are left on the glass, but nothing substantial.
S: Smells of some yeast and funk with some citrus peels, mild banana and some fruity tartness.
T:The taste is like the nose, with some yeasty funk, dried fruit peel, some pale malt and and some clove spice.
M: Light bodied with nice carbonation. The finish is drying, but leaves a nice lingering flavor of tart fruit. The carbonation is spot on.
O: A nicely flavored and refreshing beer. There is nothing in the flavor profile that stands out, but it is well balanced.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2018 Bottle thanks sis! Clear gold pour with thick creamy white head. Aroma is grainy, leafy eucalyptus hops, quite hoppy. Taste is bitter, grainy, very hoppy Belgian ale. Palate is med light bodied with good carbonation. Good! kraddel (9329) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JAN 9, 2018
Batch 12. Pours very clear blonde. Not much head. Smell is weak, mild grains, some apples. Taste is oxidized ( some madeira, mild cardboard ) still quite OK though. even though this has past it's prime, it's still drinkable, and even enjoyable. No head, yellow. Banana notes, mildly, with yeast and clove. A bit limp. Not as great as their other beers. (On tap at brewery, Labor Day weekend 2017, tour of northern breweries with Jazz88). rosenbergh (11931) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 2, 2017

Slightly cloudy golden color with a small white head.
Mild sweet butterscotch aroma with some malty and yeasty hints.
The flavor is yeast, yeasty bitterness, butterscotch, malt and earth.
Balanced and mild-mannered.
From Jan 2006
Poured from bottle a cloudy yellow with a thick and billowy head that settled down after a few minutes....but not much. ;^)
The smell is clove spicy and there's also a fruity air to it but it's hard for me to pick out *which* fruit.
The taste is a spicy mix of clove and pepper and there is some citrusy fruit and a bit of banana in the background. An unusual tasting brew, for me, but the end result is that it works nicely.
Overall, this is a very good session Belgian style ale. I recommend it.
